Microsoft Dynamics CRM Internet Facing Deployment (IFD) allows user to access their CRM system via the internet while outside their firewall or without using their VPN. IFD uses a different authentication than a Dynamics CRM Premise deployment. With IFD, the Dynamics CRM web site is available for anonymous access and the authentication relies on the presence of the CRM ticket cookie which is obtained from an IFD log in screen.
