You may have heard about Power BI and are wondering what all the fuss is about.
Power BI Desktop is part of the Power BI suite and is a free download at the Microsoft Store. Once downloaded you can connect to a myriad of data sources, including Dynamics GP, and begin to create dashboard views to visualize key data. Leave your spreadsheets behind and engage your audience in a fresh, new way.
If you are on Dynamics GP 2018 you can take advantage of the new Content Pack from Microsoft available for Power BI. There is a selection of visualizations in Financial, Sales, Purchasing and Inventory that will demonstrate the power of this new tool. You will first need to install and configure your OData service in Dynamics GP and then you will be able to view the included Filters and Column calculations. The Content Pack is an excellent way to learn about Power BI and get you started designing your own reports.
